October 2009

Vintage to Victorian is still alive and kicking, but is more of a 'window' to promote the stock I have on offer at Dairy House Antiques. Dairy House continues to thrive, and takes up so much of my time that trying to keep up with the Vintage to Victorian website is nigh on impossible. Consequently, I have decided to remove all items from the website, and any that have not sold are for sale at Dairy House. Please do not hesitate to telephone the shop - 01747 853317. I am normally there on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Alternatively, I am always contactable by email and you can keep up with what's happening at www.vintagetovictorian.blogspot.com and www.dairyhouseantiques.blogspot.com, both of which I endeavour to update at least once a month.

From mid June until the end of August my spare time was taken up with work on the new 500 sq ft of space which we have now added at Dairy House. On 1 September this became a fully integral part of the Dairy House Antiques shop, and is now home to 4 dealers.

If you are planning to drive along the A303 or A30, do please take the short detour to visit us at Dairy House. We now have 20 dealers, plenty of goodies to browse from 17th-20th century furniture to mid 20th century vintage textiles and decorative items, beautiful paintings, books, rugs and all sorts of other interesting bits and pieces.

If you are looking for a particular item which you think may be for sale at Dairy House please email to sm.meager@tiscali.co.uk and I will be glad to check my stock and that of the other dealers.

As you may know, I have begun to concentrate more on fabrics, lace and haberdashery, and I've noticed a distinct upturn in the number of ladies popping in to see the array of fabrics, buttons, buckles and lace! Do remember that most of my stock is now on display at Dairy House.

For the time being I shall continue to be in my usual spot opposite the sweetie man in the Showering Pavilion at Sue Ede's Giant Flea Market at Shepton Mallet, so if you visit the Flea do come and say hello.

Thanks, as always, for your support!

Sue

Vintage to Victorian offers a range of English and Continental Eiderdowns, Quilts, Linens and Textiles, combined with Kitchenalia, Bygones and other Useful and Collectable Items.

As the name implies, Vintage to Victorian covers most items in the shop, but occasionally I come across interesting or exciting pieces that extend beyond the margins of the title. I'm sure when you see them you won't mind!

I'm always happy to source items for customers but please remember that vintage and antique items are not mass-produced and consequently not available on repeat order. However, if you are hoping to find a similar item
please email ... I do enjoy a challenge!
