Three French pottery herb jars with lids ‘Laurier’ (bay), Poivre (pepper) and Thym (thyme). A further larger unmarked jar completes the set. The wire handles have long since disappeared, but the jars are still perfectly usable and in good condition both internally and externally.

The saucepan measures approx 5“ diameter and has a pouring lip. The condition is good but I would recommend that this is a display item rather than one to use for regular food preparation, although I'm sure it would be ideal for boiling eggs! (See K-28 for the egg safe)

Late 19th Century Saltglaze Terrine/Paté Mould

with Game Birds and Rose impression.

Excellent internal condition but there is an old chip to the base externally
and a vertical hairline crack. Inset ridge just below the rim for tying on a cover
with string prior to cooking.

Probably advisable to add to a collection rather than use in view of the crack, although it would be interesting to use it to make a savoury jelly which doesn't need oven heat.

measuring 7½" in diameter, made by Doulton. There is some crazing, which is only to be expected—the backstamp indicates that this plate/mould was manufactured between 1891 and 1902—but the condition is otherwise excellent. There are no chips or cracks.
